Holiday Gift Ideas for Babies

These holiday gift ideas for babies is to help you better do your holiday shopping. However, you celebrate we all get stuck sometimes finding something for our special little’s in our life sometimes. I hope this list helps you out and gives you some ideas to give that special baby the present that they will enjoy all year long.

All of these gifts are appropriate for ages 1 year and younger. As always it’s up to your discretion as to what toys and gifts are appropriate for your child, you know them best. These are just the ages put on the products by the manufacturer. Although with my first I followed them like the law.

Anytime

Infants are an awesome age, everything is new to explore and experience. I am sure all gifts are anytime gifts for them. If I only ran Amazon!

The cutest anytime gift I found was this hedgehog ball made by Skiphop. It is bright and will catch a babies eye right away.

Funny

We actually have a book under this category and it’s Vader’s Little Princess or Darth Vader and Son. My hubby is a real Star Wars and Star Trek fan. Star Trek is his fav but as a true geek, he had to get this before my oldest was born. We’ve had it ever since and it has been enjoyed by both girls.

Personalized

This is a gift that I will definitely be asking for this year. I am guilty of not having a baby book for my second and my oldest still doesn’t have hers done.

These 5-year memory books they really tell the story of your little one and all the details are right there for you to fill out. I have a confession I am not a scrapbooker. That is not the kind of crafty I am, so these are the best. They also have these in “boy colors” too.

Activity Centers

We used a Baby Einstein activity center for both the girls. I liked that it came with a pillow for tummy time and had bars up above. So, when they were older they could roll around and look at all the different colors. It also had a music maker with it.

This isn’t the exact same one, because they don’t sell it anymore. It is however very similar to the toys and theme.

Bath Time

These are freaking cool guys! I want to play with my little’s during bathtime because of these. Spinning gears and stacking cups. They are awesome and so much fun. I guess you could make it educational and talk about gravity or something. I am too busy playing though!

Books

If you have a little genius on your hands these books about quantum physics are for you! They talk about things like Newton’s laws, and Einsteins theory of relativity.

Certainly, your little one will become a genius after you read these. They are also heavy duty so, they shouldn’t get too destroyed by your little monsters.

Clothing

I love baby clothing, it’s so cute and tiny! Too bad they don’t spend too much time in one size. They grow like weeds and with that, they grow out of sizes so quickly. I always like to get my girls some clothing during the holidays because it is practical and it will get used.

Amazon has a great line called “Simple Joys by Carter’s” I love Carter’s it’s my favorite clothing line for kids. So I was so happy when they made this deal with Amazon. 2 outfits below are from that line one for baby boys and one for baby girls.

Meal Time

I talked about these same Muchkin Stay Put Bowls in my “Essential Products for Toddlers” and I still love them. There look has changed a little but they are still the product that I love. They stay put and are so nice when you are starting out with baby foods as they have a small bowl. Even if you are doing baby led weaning these are great bowls.

Toys

Depending on the age of your baby they might not be interested in toys. I am a real fan however of these Lamaze stroller toys. They are soft, so they are great for all ages, but they also have fun parts to chew, pull, and squeeze.

My 18 month old still loves to play with them because of this. So they are not going to be a toy that just gets thrown in the baby toy box. This particular toy “Phillip the Pelican” has a fish (teether) in its mouth and when you squeeze its tummy you can pull it out.
