July 4th Coloring Pages (free)

Happy 4th of July! These July 4th coloring pages are sure to entertain little ones this holiday. If you are staying home due COVID 19 then this is a great way to talk to your kids about the celebration without even leaving your front door.

I have a couple of different activities for you to do with your child so that they can stay entertained and learn a little bit about what the holiday is all about. You can also use it for Thinking Thursday on my summer schedule.

As with all my other recent printables they are geared towards pre-school to young school-aged children. Let’s face it, if they are older they probably don’t want to be doing them anyway. If they are more towards the pre-school age you are probably going to need to help them with some of the things or just print out the July 4th coloring pages that don’t have an activity with it.

Materials:

  • Crayons
  • Paper

Tools:

  • Color Printer

All you need is a printer, even if you don’t have little ones but are anticipating having littles ones at your cookout this is for you. There are 4 different pages two are primarily coloring and two are activities. It is not required that they be able to read. There are “did you know” portions that require reading but they aren’t important to completing the project. It just gives you some more information about what the printable is about.

The first of our July 4th coloring pages is about coloring the American flag it has a little color key on each stripe that needs to be red and on the blue portion of the flag. It gives you some more information about the flag as well, but as I said before it isn’t required reading to complete the picture.

Next of our July 4th coloring pages is a scavenger hunt that could be used at a cookout or just at home if you aren’t doing anything special. It only features the colors red and blue because I couldn’t find a white that I liked. It also features some food items that you would find at a picnic type event. Like I said you could probably find the same items in your cupboards at home if you aren’t having a gathering.

And then, we have a color the firework page which is perfect for pre-school or younger kiddos because it truly is just a coloring page without any directions or things you need to do to follow it. So let the toddlers scribble away on this one!

For the final of our July 4th coloring pages, we have a “spot the difference” page. It is picnic themed and only has 4 differences. So, it’s not super involved but it does require some skills that might be at the young school-age level. Let me know if it is too involved for your kiddo in the comments below and I will update it to be more age-appropriate.

These can also be found on my teacerspayteachers.com free for download. As I usually do I am using PDF versions for this as I find it to be the best quality. If you really care I am sure you can convert it with the “save as” function on your computer.

If you use my printables and have any questions or concerns please feel free to let me know. Either, in the comments below at my email address mamaofthedrama@gmail.com. You can also use your favorite social media Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Tik Tok, and Pinterest. Don’t forget to tag me if you post a picture.

Until next time…

Thanks for reading! -Kirsta
