10 Gift Ideas for Girls age 7 & Under

Are you stumped on what to get your daughter, granddaughter, niece, or little girl in your life? This “10 Gift Ideas for Girls age 7 & Under” is meant to help you find the perfect gift. Don’t fall into the trap of just giving her money or a gift card that’s going to collect dust or get lost.

The holiday season is upon us! Even though we are still full from Thanksgiving, it is now time to shop, shop, shop. Some people are harder than other’s to buy for. Children are the happiest at gift giving times but they can also be the harshest critic. If you are unsure of what to get your little girl, check out this list and see if it gives you some ideas.

These are perfect gifts for girls aged 7 and under. They might not be appropriate for infants but are all appropriate for ages 3-7. Just use your judgment on what the child you’re giving the gift to can handle. I will also be doing a guide for infants, so check that out.

My oldest is in this age range, she is going to be turning 6 in April. She is particular about her gifts. When it comes to opening the presents she is usually happy with whatever she gets though.

Her preferences usually fall within the shows she is currently watching. If the little girl in your life has a favorite show, it is usually a good bet to give them something associated with it. If you are still lost let’s get down to the ideas I have found for you!

Experience Gifts

Experience gifts are so great for a child who has too many toys and you don’t know what to get them. When you get an experience gift you are getting not just them a gift. You are really giving the whole family a gift by having them spend quality time together. You can’t put a price of family fun and togetherness.

Find a local skating rink, bounce plex, children’s museum, or zoo. They all have passes you can buy to put in stockings or a pretty holiday card.

Toys, Toys, Toys!

If you want to go the traditional route of getting a toy you are in the right place! Although experience gifts don’t clutter the shelves and don’t add to the unending pile of unplayed with toys. A child is expecting a toy when they are opening gifts. Especially younger children really enjoy opening a gift and seeing a toy. Or, let’s just be real, sometimes just enjoy opening the gift and playing with the box.

Pretend Play

I choose this Melissa & Doug Slice & Toss Salad set for pretend play because my daughter has a similar one and loves it. You can also teach your little’s about healthy food choices with this set. BONUS! Plus I would play with it if I were allowed 😂.

Outdoor Toys

With friends or playing solo, this is a great outdoor toy. It doesn’t cost a lot of money and will encourage outdoor, healthy, and energy draining play. Of course, they have it in pink for the girls.

Arts & Crafts

I love this kinetic sand. The texture and sensory experience are just amazing! It also it easier to clean up than regular sand. Although I love that this product still has a tray for your little to try to keep it tidy.

Games & Puzzles

Connect 4 was one of my favorite games as a kid. My daughter loves to play it as well. Although she doesn’t understand the concept of connecting them in fours she just enjoys putting all of them in and then dumping them out with a friend. I don’t care as long as they are entertained LOL.

Dolls

My daughter loves the superhero girls she loves videos on YouTube. To tell you the truth I love that she loves them. I am so glad we are not in the era of princesses needing to be rescued by the knight in shining armor. Girls feel empowered by showing female superheroes saving the day. Her favorite is Batgirl so that is what I am featuring here.

Building Toys

Who doesn’t love Lego’s?! This set has a handy case for easy storage, travel, and clean up. If your child has issues with fine motor skills like mine does these are great for helping strengthen those muscles. Just don’t leave them out, your foot will thank me later.

Movies

Moana is my favorite movie. I love the music, as I have talked about in a previous post. My girls also love it! The female empowerment and lack of a love story just had me enthralled and hooked.

Electronic Toys

My oldest got a fingerling from her sister’s birthday party. I think it’s pretty cool. She keeps it in her bedroom so my youngest doesn’t play with it. Her’s is similar to this and she has spent hours playing with it. So for the price, it seems like a killer gift.

That’s the end of my list for the darling little girl in your life. I have enough ideas to get for this holiday season. With some stocking stuffers thrown in from the dollar store and a couple of presents, I got last year when Toys ‘R’ Us went out of business.

I love that shopping online means I am not standing in line and being elbow to elbow with other mother’s. As well as being able to get all the things my child wants in one spot delivered to my door. Hermits rejoice! Not that I don’t love a good mall pretzel and lemonade 😂.

GIRL WITH PRESENT FOR PINTEREST

After reading my list what are you going to get your special girl? If my list didn’t help you what did I miss? As always I would love to have you join the drama family and subscribe. Until next time!
