Preschool Dinosaur Theme Printables

What day is it? Why am I so bored? Wait! No! I have children to homeschool with these preschool dinosaur theme printables. Who knows what day it truly is but it is some kind of weekday because I am being forced to homeschool my children today.

Although I am bringing you these printables in the hopes that you can use them for your forced homeschooling, I have had a realization today. None of this really matters. All children are going to be behind next year no matter how much frustration I experience and then force my child to experience via me. I had a little help from a message sent to me by a friend, which has now been liked by over 8k people.

Relax, we’re in this together!

Now, that puts things into perspective. So, this made me realize today that there is no way for me to be sane if I stay in a frustrated, exasperated, and devastated manner. I have learned that this is a recipe for burnout which I don’t want. Therefore, I have chosen to relax. The things that I can “plan C” I am and the rest I am “plan B’ing” but I am letting go on the relentless control I feel I have to have over my child’s learning in the interest of her mental health and mine. As a parent of a special needs child sometimes the struggle of daily life can be challenging not to mention a forced change in the environment of learning. A big “no, no” in a neurodiverse child’s world.

The message of today is to relax, take a deep breath and practice mindfulness. If you are able to and your child is able to enjoy these preschool dinosaur theme printables have at it. If not, no big deal. Tomorrow is another day and we have nothing but time right now mama.

Onto preschool dinosaur theme printables!

Onto why you are probably here the preschool dinosaur theme printables. These are very similar to my preschool ocean theme printables. They feature tracing skills, scissor skills, alphabet recognition, and matching. All of the benefits I talked about in the previous post.

It ranges from pre-math skills, to alphabet identification. It also helps with pre-writing fine motor skills. You can’t go wrong with this set of printables. Especially if you are wanting some independent work so you don’t constantly feel like you need to be on top of your child helping them.

I also talked about doing a virtual tour which I paired up with these as well. This time it’s a virtual tour of the Smithsonian Institutes “David H Koch hill of fossils” the only difference is that you have to click around to give yourself a tour which makes it harder to present to a classroom unless each child has their own tablet or computer. I looked around for another dinosaur theme virtual tour but was unable to find it. If you are able to find one let me know in the comments below.

A lot of the dinosaurs in these are less historically accurate and are more cartoon oriented. I am going to be featuring flashcards next week which are more realistic. So, if you are a dinosaur aficionado don’t run away screaming just yet. I also wanted these to be palatable to all gender identities. Keeping it playful seemed less frightening and better to be used for all of the little’s to enjoy.

As always I would love for you to let me know that you used my printables by tagging me on your favorite social media Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, etc. by tagging me @mamaofthedrama or by letting me know in the comments below. Feel free to leave any comments, questions, or concerns as well.

Until next time…
