Halloween is almost here! If you have not gotten your spooky self together, I put together a list of must-haves for this season. They are all from Amazon so if you utilize the 2 day Prime shipping you will get all these products by Halloween!

1. Best Scary Movie

I think everyone has a tradition of watching a certain movie on Halloween. Television networks all play different ones but most notably is probably The Halloween series. My personal favorite is The Descent, but I have not seen a scary movie since having children. I just don’t have the time away from my children.

2. Best Candy

The next of the spooktacular products are candy. I must confess I am not really a candy person. I prefer carbs to sweets frankly. My children, however, are sweet eating monsters. They would probably vacuum sugar up off the floor with their mouths if I let them. I try to limit sugary sweets because they are unhealthy. Also, the jury is out on whether diet helps with children that have developmental delays like my oldest.

So from my daughter, I am told that the best candy is the Hershey’s Milk Chocolate, plain and simple. My youngest daughter cannot have most candies because of her intolerance. I found that Enjoy Life has made candy which she can have! Rejoice! It is unfortunately not available on Amazon in single packages.

3. Best Halloween Toys

Like I talked about early, my youngest cannot have most candy. I have been very aware of children having allergies since I had my daughter. I knew that the percentage of allergies was rising, and I had read different blog posts about children who were being left out during Halloween. So I always would try to have a mix of candy and little toys, in case a child couldn’t have whatever candy I had put out.

I am a real fan of the little trinkets and toys that they sell at the dollar store. On Amazon, you can buy them in bulk for even cheaper!

4. Best Men’s Costume

The next of the spooktacular products are the costumes. I was not sure how I was going to pick these, because there are so many different kinds of costumes. So I just used my best judgment.

I love the T-rex costume, they are just hilarious to see anyone wear. They also are good for any body type. Since it is not form-fitting. Check them out!

5. Best Women’s Costume

I love a form-fitting and sexy costume just like the next gal. Unfortunately, I live in the north where it is cold for Halloween and I don’t have the body for a costume like that anyways LOL.

So for something that is kid-friendly and not going to leave you freezing your buns off I choose this nice bee costume.

6. Best Kid’s Costume

Kids are so in tune with the trends of today. So there are so many different kinds of costumes to choose from. Let’s face it Halloween is really to the benefit of kids, to begin with.

So I choose an adorable cow costume that could be unisex and generic enough that most kids would be satisfied. At the end of the night, it’s not what you are dressed up in, it’s the candy. Am I right?!

If you want another last-minute costume idea check out my DIY Mermaid Costume.

7. Best Pet Costume

I loved to dress up my dogs when I was younger. I would use toddler and baby clothes because we didn’t have anywhere to buy dog clothing. I just loved spending time dressing them up and making them look cute. Begrudgingly they let me dress them up and didn’t have much of an issue with it. The cutest and funniest costume I have seen recently for a dog is the lion’s mane. It makes your dog look like the king he is.

8. Best Decor

Not much decor is required for Halloween. Let’s face it, it’s not Christmas. No one wants lights on the house. Although you wouldn’t know it by looking at my house. It is FULL of fall decor. From the hay bale and pumpkins on my porch to the hanging ghosts, and zombies in my windows.

I think everyone needs at least a couple of pumpkins for there decor. Bonus, you can use them up until Thanksgiving!

These teal pumpkins are very in right now. They also are the color for food allergy awareness! So if you decide to set out a teal pumpkin, children might expect you to have just toys or allergy-safe candy out. Read more about the Teal Pumpkin Project® here.

9. Best Children’s Book

I love getting seasonal books for my girls. They love to have me read to them and it’s nice to have a change of pace with a different book now and then. I also love something that marks the holiday.

My favorite board book is You are my Little Pumpkin Pie it’s wonderful for fall and has awesome textures for baby to experience.

For older children, I love the book Halloween Night, with a similar plot to Twas the Night Before Christmas. With a spooky twist. You surely will enjoy reading these to your little ones.

10. Best Children’s Movie

This is a Halloween tradition we have in our house. It’s watching The Room on the Broom on Netflix. It is a movie based on a book, which to be honest we never read.

You can’t go wrong with a movie that is free with your subscription, is kid-friendly, and has a great message. There is a scary dragon in it my daughter would warn you all about.

Those are my 10 last-minute SPOOKtacular products to get you ready for Halloween. I hope you have a safe and happy time with your family. If you think I have missed anything on my list let me know in the comments below!
