Crochet Pterodactyl Dinosaur Hooded Scarf Costume

This pterodactyl dinosaur hooded scarf costume is a DIY, frugal, and super cute costume to throw together for Halloween. Check it out!

Happy fall y’all! If you have been apart of the mama of the drama family for any length of time you will know that I love fall. It is my favorite time of year, I love Halloween and all the wonderful things that go with fall. The hayrides, the decorations, the costumes, the food, I love it all. Not to mention the crisp weather and beautiful changing leaves.

So, of course, I am planning out our Halloween costumes and we decided to do dinosaurs this year. My youngest loves her dinosaurs and wants to be a triceratops and the rest of the family thought that was a good idea. I did some research on Pinterest and found some families did dinosaurs and keepers, but no one wanted to be keepers in our family so we are all going as a hoard of dinosaurs.

My youngest is going to be a triceratops, my oldest is going to be a brachiosaurus, I am going to be a pterodactyl, and my husband is going to be a stegosaurus. Of course, I am going to make all of these costumes because I love crafting and I love not spending money. I especially do not like spending money on a cheaply made costume that doesn’t keep my family warm in the chilly PA fall nights.

I don’t know if we are actually going to go trick or treating this year as COVID-19 has changed all of our Halloween plans. For now, I am hoping we will be able to trick or treat with masks on.

Onto the dinosaur hooded scarf costume!
